English–Japanese Bilingual Accounting Staff (Full-Time)
At LOOK UP ACCOUNTING, we are recruiting an Accounting Staff member who will primarily work with international and English-speaking clients.
This position goes beyond basic bookkeeping. You will communicate directly with global clients while supporting Japanese accounting and tax operations in practice.
Working in a cloud-based, DX-oriented environment, this role is ideal for someone who wants to engage in Accounting × Communication × International Business.

Working Hours
9:00–18:00 (1-hour break)
After you become familiar with the role and establish a certain level of trust, remote work and flexible hours may be discussed.
In principle, this position is office-based.

Responsibilities
You will mainly be responsible for the following tasks:
Bookkeeping using cloud accounting software (freee)
Assistance with monthly and annual financial closing
Assistance with corporate tax and consumption tax filings
Client communication in English (email, Slack, online meetings)
Verification of transactions using overseas payment and financial tools (PayPal, Wise, Stripe, Airwallex, etc.)
CFO support tasks, including:
Cash flow monitoring
Basic financial analysis
Organizing data for management decision-making
Project and task management using internal tools
This is not a “data entry only” role.
We value understanding the background behind numbers and sharing insights appropriately with clients and the team.
Requirements
Practical experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance (experience in either an accounting firm or an operating company is acceptable)
Business-level English skills (email and meeting communication)
JLPT N2–level Japanese required (no certificate required, if proficienct)
Basic PC skills (Excel and comfort with cloud-based tools)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with foreign companies or international clients
Ability to explain accounting and tax matters clearly in English
Positive attitude toward cloud accounting and digital transformation (DX)
Strong interest in learning Japanese accounting and tax practices through hands-on work
Strong team communication and collaboration skills
Interest in expanding into tax or CFO-related responsibilities in the future
Interest in crypto assets and Web3-related fields
Compensation
Monthly salary: ¥250,000 – ¥450,000
Estimated annual income: approx. ¥3.5M – ¥6.0M (including bonuses)
Salary review: once per year
Compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and scope of responsibilities.
