On July 28, 2025, the event "freee Advisor Day 2025" hosted by the cloud accounting software freee took place in Fukuoka, where staff from LOOK UP ACCOUNTING participated and took the stage.

On that day, representatives from accounting firms across the country gathered to share numerous recent examples regarding AI and operational efficiency.

From LOOK UP ACCOUNTING, under the framework of the "MAJIKACHI JAPAN TOUR 2025," our representative Kentaro Yonemitsu and staff member Yuka Osaki took the stage with the theme: "How to Build an Office Where Staff Shine - Standardization and Delegation Realized by AI."

We delivered real voices from the field regarding efforts in operational standardization being practiced in our daily operations, efficiency achieved through the use of AI tools, and the team growth arising from delegation of authority to staff.

After the presentation, we received many questions and comments from participants, making it a time filled with learning and inspiration for the speakers as well.

Going forward, LOOK UP ACCOUNTING will continue to advance the creation of an environment where each staff member can display their capabilities while also committing ourselves to share that practical knowledge with the entire industry.

Participation Report by Yuka Osaki (Accounting Staff)

On July 28, I attended freee Advisor Day 2025 in Fukuoka alongside the CEO!

The story began in mid-June when I was still on a high from recovering from COVID. When the CEO casually asked, "Who wants to go to Fukuoka?" I accidentally responded with an enthusiastic "Yes!"

What filled my mind with exciting images of "tonkotsu ramen," "motsunabe," and "mentaiko" was vastly different from what Mr. Yonemitsu conveyed about the actual Fukuoka.

On stage...?

At that moment, a faint voice from the back of my mind seemed to whisper, "Wait, this doesn’t seem like a simple 'yes' situation," but my overwhelming curiosity won out and I eagerly accepted.

However, as preparations progressed, my insecurities increased, leading me to question, "Am I really the right person?"... For a while, I struggled to find my role, and days of uncertainty followed.

Thanks to the wonderful people who prepared with me, I found my place. Ms. Kiyo taught me the charm of LOOK UP ACCOUNTING compared to other firms; Ms. Maria beautifully arranged our slides; Ms. Homi practiced patiently with me; and Mr. Takahashi taught me the secrets of presenting. Each interaction reminded me of how marvelous our team is, and I realized this was a large part of the theme of "the charm of LOOK UP ACCOUNTING through the eyes of its employees."

My gaze, originally directed only at my own nerves and anxieties, gradually opened to my surroundings; the notion of "I have to speak properly so as not to inconvenience anyone" transformed into "I want to fully showcase the greatness of LOOK UP ACCOUNTING." That transformation gave me the strength I needed.

Time flew by, and before I knew it, it was the day before the presentation.

After arriving in Fukuoka, I relentlessly practiced in a café right up until closing time. My main challenge was managing pacing; I simply couldn’t manage to fit my presentation into the allotted time. Just before we dispersed, Mr. Yonemitsu left me with parting words: “If you do it 20 times, it will become second nature. Please rest well for tomorrow. Great work today!”

What a dilemma! Mr. Yonemitsu's 20 times would probably equal about 100 for me. Should I rest as he suggested or focus more until it sticks?

While I pondered this, my drowsiness lifted, my eyes brightened, and I found myself in a rehearsal high. So, I ended up practicing more and more, riding high on energy as the first night in Fukuoka wore on.

11:00 PM the night before @ Fukuoka Starbucks

This was after we were told twice by the staff, "We’re closing soon."

Following this, Mr. Yonemitsu delivered a memorable line:
“If you do it 20 times, it will become second nature. Please rest well for tomorrow. Great work today!”

On the next day, we gathered at the same café at 8 a.m. Despite having his own presentation, Mr. Yonemitsu kindly accompanied me for a final confirmation, which must have been much effort for him. I am sincerely grateful.

Given that our presentation time was set for after 4 p.m., we entered the venue at a leisurely pace. Upon arrival, we were greeted by many attendees, and I could sense the recognition and anticipation surrounding LOOK UP ACCOUNTING. We received enthusiastic remarks such as, "That booth is the best!" and, "I have someone I want to introduce to you."

When I went to check the speaking area, I realized that freee CEO Sasaki had just started to present, and I was overwhelmed by the vastness of the stage and the height of the ceiling, dazzled by the vibrant lighting.

Back in the waiting room, I practiced non-stop. I didn't even manage to eat the bento provided. Instead, I nibbled on the bread I had brought, murmuring to myself in the room and the hallway… all I remember is the sense of practicing over and over. It seems I practiced so much that others began to remember me as "the one who was always rehearsing."

Even among distinguished colleagues with impressive titles, here I was—as a mere staff member. I must have raised a few concerned eyebrows; I'm sure many were quietly thinking, "Is she going to be okay?"

Right before taking the stage, many folks encouraged me, saying "Good luck!" which meant a lot.

3:30 PM on the day @ waiting room

At some point, Mr. Yonemitsu had casually stepped out and returned with coffee and nuts from the convenience store, munching away with such composure—impressive!

Oh, and he was wearing some really nice shoes.

With a grand introduction, my moment arrived on stage.

This was surely the first time I saw my face displayed that large. It was huge! I kind of wish I had asked someone to take a photo from the front.

Throughout my talk, I focused on the advice from my colleague Mr. Takahashi: “Speak loudly and clearly.” As a result, I can confidently report that I had the best audience-drawing power of any speaker that day.

…However, time ran out.

Mr. Yonemitsu accelerated through the slides. I could feel the underlying pressure of "Hurry up!"
Yet, I was desperate to convey everything I wanted to say. The clash of intentions led to a rather puzzling exchange, with slides moving strangely back and forth. I imagine it was quite an entertaining spectacle from the audience's perspective.

In the end, I slightly went over time before passing the baton. I’m so sorry!

However, the subsequent performance by Mr. Yonemitsu was nothing short of amazing. With unprecedented speed and enthusiasm, he explained the delegation of authority at LOOK UP ACCOUNTING, our digital transformation efforts, and why we embrace AI along with the benefits it brings. He moved dynamically around the stage, capturing audience attention like a true charismatic instructor rather than just a speaker.

As attendance swelled, the moment he explained that “AI is a tool, not an end goal,” the sense of unity in the room intensified.

After the presentation, many attendees, including freee team members and other speakers, approached us. Most notably, I think the fact that freee's CEO Sasaki now clearly recognizes LOOK UP ACCOUNTING is a tremendous achievement.

As for me, I received a lot of compliments saying, "You have such a great voice!"

While there’s a part of me that felt frustrated by receiving praise solely for my voice, I'm also truly grateful that people remembered me as "the accounting staff with the great voice who kept practicing." It opened doors for me to connect with many people in the accounting field—really, a lot! I was able to hear their perspectives and catch glimpses into their relationships and values—this was a significant takeaway for me.

This experience allowed me to rediscover the appeal of LOOK UP ACCOUNTING and the people within, making me feel fortunate to be in this environment.

While I have plenty to reflect on, should I have another opportunity, I hope to make better use of the commendation for my "great voice"—enhancing my knowledge, honing my presentation skills, and delivering a speech that genuinely resonates.

Compared to the anxiety I felt at the start, my mindset has shifted slightly.

Finally, I wish to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Yonemitsu for this opportunity, and to everyone who provided guidance and support along the way.

Thank you very much.

▽ Event Report by Yuka Osaki (Accounting Staff)

July 28th – I had the opportunity to attend freee Advisor Day 2025 in Fukuoka alongside our CEO, Kentaro Yonemitsu!

It all started back in mid-June, right when I was still on a high from recovering from COVID. When the CEO casually asked, “Anyone wanna go to Fukuoka?”, I carelessly responded with a cheerful “Yes!”

At the time, my mind was filled with mouthwatering dreams of tonkotsu ramen, motsunabe, and mentaiko—but what awaited me in “Fukuoka,” as presented by Mr. Yonemitsu, was something entirely different.

Yuka Osaki, are you available to go to Fukuoka on Monday, July 28th?!
I’d love for us to co-present and showcase LOOK UP’s accounting operations together.
Of course, we’ll go over the content and coordination in detail beforehand!
It’ll probably be a one-day trip with an overnight stay before returning to Tokyo,
but I think it will be a great experience—so I’d love for you to consider it positively

Wait, I’m speaking…? Like, on stage??

I think I heard a little voice in the back of my mind whispering, “Hold on, this might not be something to say ‘yes’ to so lightly.” But curiosity got the better of me—I couldn’t help thinking, “I kinda want to try this…” And just like that, I agreed without hesitation.

As the preparation progressed, though, doubts started creeping in—“Am I really the right person for this?” I struggled to find where I fit into the presentation, and the days became a bit hazy and anxious.

But thanks to the people who prepared alongside me, I eventually found my footing.

Ms. Kiyo showed me what makes LOOK UP ACCOUNTING stand out from other firms. Ms. Maria refined our slides beautifully. Ms. Homi practiced with me patiently. And Mr. Takahashi passed on his secret tips for speaking. Each of them reminded me how amazing our team is—and I realized that this was what made LOOK UP ACCOUNTING so special through the eyes of its employees.

At first, my nervousness made me focus only on myself. But slowly, my mindset shifted—from “I just don’t want to mess up” to “I really want people to understand how great LOOK UP ACCOUNTING is.” That shift gave me strength.

Time flew, and suddenly, it was the day before the presentation.

After arriving in Fukuoka, I spent hours at a café rehearsing until just before closing time. My biggest challenge was pacing—I couldn’t fit my speech into the allotted time no matter how hard I tried. As we were about to leave, Mr. Yonemitsu gave me some parting words:
“Once you do it 20 times, it becomes part of you. Get some rest for tomorrow—great job today.”

But here’s the thing: Mr. Yonemitsu’s “20 times” is probably like 100 for me! Should I rest like he said? Or keep going until it sticks??

As I debated, the drowsiness vanished, my eyes sparkled wide open, and I entered a sort of rehearsal high. I ended up practicing even more on my own, buzzing with energy as night fell on my first day in Fukuoka.

11:00 PM the night before @ Fukuoka Starbucks

This was right after we’d been told twice by the staff, “We’re closing soon.”

Then, Mr. Yonemitsu delivered a memorable line:
“Once you do it 20 times, it becomes part of you. Get some good rest for tomorrow. Great job today!”

The next morning at 8 a.m., we met again at the same café.
Despite having his own speech to give, Mr. Yonemitsu stayed with me for a final review—something I know must have been much more work for him. I’m genuinely grateful.

Our session was scheduled for after 4 p.m., so we had a slow entry into the venue. From the moment we arrived, many people approached us, and I could really feel how recognized and anticipated LOOK UP ACCOUNTING was. We even heard things like, “That booth is the best one here!” and “I’ve got someone I want to introduce to you.”

When I went to check out the stage, I saw that freee CEO Sasaki was already speaking. The sheer size of the stage, the height of the ceiling, the vibrant lighting—it was dizzying!

Back in the waiting room, I kept rehearsing non-stop. I didn’t even have time to eat the bento provided—I just nibbled on some bread I had brought, muttering to myself in the room, in the hallway… all I remember is practicing.

Apparently, I practiced so much that the other speakers and freee staff remembered me as “the one who was always rehearsing.”

And honestly, even among all the impressive titles and credentials, there I was—just a regular staff member. I must have stood out in a worrisome way, and I imagine people were quietly thinking, “Is she going to be okay…?”

Right before I took the stage, many people encouraged me with warm “Good luck!”s. It meant a lot.

3:30 PM on the day @ Backstage waiting room

At some point, Mr. Yonemitsu had casually gone out and returned with coffee and a bag of nuts from the convenience store—munching away like it was nothing.
I have to admit, it was a little irritating… but also impressively composed.

Oh, and he was wearing some really nice shoes, too.

Then, the moment came. With a grand introduction, I stepped on stage.

I think that was the first time my face had ever been projected that large. It was huge! I kind of wish I had asked someone to take a photo from the front…

During the talk, I focused solely on the advice from my colleague Mr. Takahashi: “Speak loudly and clearly.”
Thanks to that, I dare say I had the strongest audience-drawing power of any speaker that day.

…That said, I did run out of time.

Mr. Yonemitsu started flipping through the slides faster and faster. I could feel the silent plea of “Hurry up!”
But I didn’t want to skip over the parts I truly wanted to say. Our wills clashed a bit, and the result was… slides going back and forth in a mysterious dance. From the audience, I imagine it was a pretty entertaining show.

In the end, I went slightly over time before passing the baton. I’m so sorry!

But what came next was incredible. Mr. Yonemitsu exploded into action.

With speed and passion I’d never seen before, he spoke about LOOK UP ACCOUNTING’s delegation of authority, our digital transformation, and why we embrace AI—what benefits it brings. He moved freely across the entire stage, captivating the audience like a true charismatic lecturer, not just a speaker.

People kept gathering. The moment he explained that “AI is a tool, not the goal,” there was a powerful sense of unity in the room.

After the presentation, we were approached by many people—freee team members, other speakers, even attendees. Most notably, I believe the fact that CEO Sasaki of freee now clearly recognizes LOOK UP ACCOUNTING is a huge success.

As for me, everyone kept saying, “You have such a great voice!”

Of course, part of me was frustrated that only my voice got compliments, but I’m also deeply grateful that people remembered me as “the accounting staff with the great voice who kept practicing.”
Thanks to that, I was able to meet and talk with so many people in the accounting industry—really, so many! I got to hear their perspectives and catch glimpses of the relationships and values they hold. That was a major takeaway for me.

Going through this process also helped me rediscover the charm of LOOK UP ACCOUNTING and its people, and reminded me how fortunate I am to be part of this environment.

I have plenty of things to reflect on, but if I ever get another chance, I hope to make better use of the “great voice” I was praised for—developing my knowledge, refining my presentation skills, and delivering a message that truly connects with someone.

Compared to the anxiety that filled me at the beginning, I think my mindset has changed just a little.

Finally, I want to express my heartfelt thanks to Mr. Yonemitsu for giving me this opportunity, and to everyone who offered guidance and support along the way.

Thank you so much.
